  3. Read text on the differing perspectives on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.  Generate 5-10 Socratic Seminar Questions using the questions starters.  5-10 questions due at 2:45pm.

  2. Notes: TPCASTT (Poetry analysis) "Mending Walls" by Robert Frost
  3. Mini-Project: "World of Walls." Research your wall using website to complete following tasks:
  • Visuals: Draw a line down the middle of poster and place a collage of pics or drawings images associated with the people on both sides. Include labels for both sides and country name and continent. Add color and use text features. 
  • Compare/Contrast: Explain the major differences between the two sides of wall (i.e.: language, race, religion, literacy rate, unemployment %, other differences using a VenDiagram). Also, explain the reason for erecting the wall (what was the real reason for it being built)
  • Literature: Choose one author from country with wall whose literature  (poem, short story, or artwork) shares the theme of separation, barriers or walls and summarize the literature in own words.
