TUESDAY

1. 2-Point Journal: How are we as a society like the townspeople in A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings?  Using evidence from the text compare and contrast the US to the Spanish village that has just discovered the supernatural winged man.
2. Finish Magical Realism film BFG
3. Discussion: Elements of Magical Realism in film similar to those in short story.

2. 2-Point Writing: Philosophers have sometimes expressed the idea that the key to releasing human potential is to expand people’s imaginations. Explain how this story supports that notion.  Who are some the people you look up to that were larger than life, that allowed you to imagine more out of yourself.
3. Review analysis of story

HW: Review study guide for A Doll's House.  Test on Friday May, 5th on play and Vocab List 5.


WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY

1. Finish Act 1-3 discussion questions.  Due end of class Wednesday 3rd.
2. Complete brainstorm for One-Act Realism Play.  Pick one of the ideas we came up with in class.
3. Review PowerPoint on How to Create a Play as a guide.  Script needs to be hand-written in blue or black ink, and turned in for a grade Friday 5th using the script template.

HW: 10 Journal entries due Friday 5th.  Test on Doll's House discussion questions and vocab list 5-6 on Friday 5th.  Rough Draft of script due Friday 5th for Realism play.
