- 7-Point Writing: Is Neo a hero? If so, what kind (look at notes on types of heroes)? Provide 3 examples of the stages in his journey (see notes on Joseph Campbell's Monomyth) to support answer.

- Annotating Text: Read article "Hero" and annotate text for main idea. Prepare to discuss the author's definition of a hero.
- Brainstorm: Research an unsung hero to add to our Hall of Heroes Wall.
HW Due 8/16: Unsung Hero Name for Research.
WEDNESDAY
- Research: Open Word Docs and save document as Unsung Hero Research. Copy and paste info about your unsung hero and the website's URL (www) in Word Doc or Google Doc. Take info you pasted into Word Doc and transfer it into each slide using the guideline below. Use citation machine link below for each website you copied information from to create your works cited page for (slide #8).
HW Due 8/17: Research from at least 2 sources for Unsung Hero PPT.

HW: Return syllabus signed by Monday, and study for syllabus quiz on Thursday 3rd.

- Syllabus Quiz: 8-10 question quiz covering the review of the syllabus from Wednesday
