Tuesday

  1. Notes: Archetypes . Take notes on situational and symbolic archetypes in addition to the notes you took on archetypal characters last class.

Wednesday
  1. Warm-up: Archetypes
  2. Read creation story from Guinea and complete archetypes organizer by copying the following columns in your notes section along with the story title.
  3. Complete a post card for the Women's March (follow steps below)
    1. Go to Women's March website and select one issue there to research.
    2. In Writer's Workshop, complete a rough draft of your postcard/letter including the topic, and evidence of why it is an important problem. 
    3. On postcard given in class, write your final draft of your postcard.
Thursday
  1. Warm-up: Black History Person #1
  2. Read another creation story and identify/analyze archetypes
  3. Creation Story Project
Requirements for teaching project
1—Choose a work from world literature website, world lit project link #2 (Work must be approved by the Teacher)
2—Identify the country that represents your work on the world map.
3—Provide a summary of the country or region's culture using at least (4) significant facts. (Submit to Teacher)
4—Provide a summary/overview of the work using (4) significant points.  (Submit to Teacher)
5—Define and identify (4) literary archetypes in your work. (Submit to Teacher)
6—Respond to the following question in three to four sentences:  Level 3—How does your selected work apply to our lives in America? (Submit to Teacher)
7--Include music or food that represents that culture.
